We began our own web design company with two computers and a big dream, and we're now in our 5th year of operation. We're very grateful to have achieved success.In the spirit of giving back, we offer a very basic, 5-page sample site with commented HTML code that you may download to your machine and use if you are a beginner or need a website with minimal or no budget. Here is the sample site:
The files are available for Digital Download. You'll receive a link to the source files. Download and use the source files to create a sample site on your own machine, which you may then upload to your own hosting package. Unpack these files onto a folder on your hard drive, then open the files in your web browser (like Firefox or Internet Explorer) to review. You may make changes to the files using a text editor like TextEdit or NotePad, with all formatting turned off. You may add and change image files, and also change the colors of the layout. The "styleit.css" file controls all the things like the color of the background, the borders, the height of the navigation, the color of the links, etc. Change the font size or color in this and all the pages will be simultaneously updated. If you need more tips, please do some searching on Stylesheets or CSS in Google. Alternatively, go to any of the websites in our Portfolio, and type in www.thewebsite.com/styleit.css to see our created stylesheet for that particular website. Use an FTP program like FileZilla to upload the files to your hosting package. These files are very basic and will suit your needs if you have low to no budget and need a basic web presence with minimal graphic design or functionality.
