Our Story

Principals Genesis A. Lodise and Monica S. Flores met and began their collaboration in 1999 through a pioneering educational multimedia website called "The Odyssey World Trek for Service and Education".

The principals learned the basics of handcoding HTML and graphic design and were immediately hooked on the work of building websites to foster connections, create social justice, and empower diverse communities.

In 2004, they founded 10K Group LLC to use their skills and talents to create positive change in the world. Projects in which we are proud to have contributed include:

+ A large-scale outcomes-based evaluation of 110+ community-based organizations for the San Francisco Department of Children, Youth and Their Families

+ Evaluation and strategic planning for the San Francisco Education Fund

+ Mentoring for a student-run web design and development team serving Berkeley non-profits

+ Web development support for the Center for Latin American Studies at the University of California

+ Online course registration for in-person and online training for a top laser safety education company

+ Comprehensive business directories for neighborhoods (West Berkeley) and organizations (California straw building, IDA consultants, realtor groups)

+ Annual website support for community-based festivals (International Food Festival, Asian Pacific American Heritage Month)

+ Development of the first internet-based Asian Pacific American grassroots group (a 501(c)(4) advocacy organization)

+ A blog, online training, and handbook series supporting success-oriented women

+ A national directory of green businesses supporting or owned by women
